The Ice Maiden

... he has no idea of the trouble he will cause!  Making a wish on that cold winter’s night — he unleashes a creature so powerful she freezes the very sun that gives warmth and life to the land.  Only his twin boys, Damswood and Crimson, can save him, and the world, from an icy grave.

With marauding monsters, whispering witches and a snowflake army — can they save their father before he’s left frozen forever? Blending live action with life – sized puppetry, mask, shadow, wonder and a little magic, The Ice Maiden, a chilly tale for a winter’s eve!

Following the successful tour of ‘The Legend of Long Legged Leon’ around Cornish Primary Schools last January / February, StoryWorks Theatre Company tour their latest work for schools and family audiences.  

Having performed an extract from the show at the annual Cornish Showcase at the end of October, the two performers were told by a regional promoter, and member of the invited panel, that they were the best opening double act in a theatre piece he had ever seen! 

The company is committed to its education work and using the arts – drama in particular – as a cross-curricular teaching method particularly in primary schools.
